Before choosing furniture or preparing a foundation, work through the space as a place you will actually use.
Look at the site.
Consider access, drainage, surrounding trees and the path of sunlight. Confirm the greenhouse’s final installation requirements and any local obligations before beginning work. A lean-to also requires a suitable wall and a considered attachment plan.
Draw the working route.
Mark the door swing, a clear path and the place you will stand to pot and water. Use confirmed clear interior measurements, not just exterior dimensions. Leave access to glazing, vents and areas requiring maintenance.
Give each task a place.
Group propagation trays, keep plant labels nearby and place watering equipment where it can be reached without moving pots. Start with fewer furnishings and add only what your routine needs.
Keep care plant-specific.
Plants differ in their needs for light, moisture and temperature. Choose suitable varieties and use reliable care information for each. A greenhouse is part of the growing setup, not a guarantee of particular conditions.
